Josephine Sittenfeld grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 2002, with a major in art and art history and earned her MFA in photography at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2008. She is working on a documentary film project about families raising children on the autism spectrum.
